This is recorded live in 2006 in Melbourne, Australia from one of my dj sets at my weekly 'The Get Down' party that ran for 2 years and put the bar, Dirty Secrets on the map and announced my coming out as a fully fledged crate digging funky white boy!! Hope you enjoy it. Some of it is more recent and remixed funk breaks, but there's also lots of classics!

I am a dj, photographer and the driver behind weedhopper.com.au I (Mr Lob) have been djing, promoting and running parties since 1999. This has also developed into promotional design, event photography and the weedhopper.com.au website. I collect and play funk, soul, jazz, latin breaks and old school hip hop. I admire creative beatmakers and performers such as The Bamboos, Cookin on 3 Burners, Kylie Auldist, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Jumbonics, Flow Dynamics, Dr Rubberfunk, Dj Vadim, Blackalicious, Fort Knox Five and J5. I also love and following record labels: True Thoughts Freestyle Jazzman Wax Poetics Impulse Fania Fatbeats I travel regularly, both to dj, relax, catch up with friends and photograph madly! My favourite place in the world is Chiang Mai, Thailand and I just can't get enough vinyl records, run dmc tshirts and adidas sneakers!! I love cars and Vespa scooters made in the 1960's!! Since about the year 2000, I have been playing old school hip hop, funk and breaks gigs all over Melbourne, as well as at Earthcore in 2005 & 2007, as support for the Stanton Warriors in Bangkok in 2005 and in various other venues in Thailand!!
